The Institut des Finances Basil Fuleihan launched the 2019 edition of the Citizen Budget on September 16 2019, under the auspices and presence of his Excellency President of the Council of Ministers Saad Hariri. On the initiative and with the support of his Excellency Minister of Finance Ali Hassan Khalil, the Citizen Budget have become an annual commitment by the Lebanese government towards citizens, promoting the significance of access to information and accountability.
The event welcomed members of the Lebanese Parliament, Lebanese Ministers, General Directors, representatives from the private and public sector, from civil society and regional and international organizations.
The Citizen Budget presents explanations on the Lebanese budget and budget law, tailored for professionals and regular citizens, fostering integrity and transparency on the spending of public money.
