Emily Lewis- Lebanese politicians and state bodies have consciously neglected to provide material requested under the country’s access to information law, Minister of State for Administrative Development May Chidiac said Monday. “I was surprised by some people avoiding the law’s application … either hiding behind privacy or the lack of an implementation decree,” Chidiac said at a news conference marking the International Day for Universal Access to Information.
