Dr. Elie Kallas is a professor within the faculties of Law and Political Science at USEK - Lebanon. He is a specialist in the field of combating money laundering, organized crime, drug trafficking and corruption. Lieutenant Colonel at the Internal Security Forces, Dr. Kallas holds a doctoral degree in Criminal Law from the University of Paris XI – France, a diploma in Criminal Sciences from the Faculty of Law from the same university and another specialized diploma in human rights from the International Institute of Human Rights - Strasbourg, France. He is also well-published, with articles and research figuring in journals such as Assadissa, Al Hayat al-Niyabia, and La Revue Juridique.
