Joseph Dana- Since Covid-19 spiraled into a global pandemic, blows against the twin pillars of Gulf wealth creation – oil and international travel – have landed hard. Now, a fundamental shift in how the region operates is afoot. As the largest component of their labor force is retrenched, Gulf countries are on the verge of transforming their working population of overwhelmingly foreign staff. This is no bad thing.
