This documents presents the main findings of the diagnostic review “How can a new tax system restore growth and equity?”, prepared by Financially Wise in collaboration with Institut des Finances Basil Fuleihan that aims to assess the gaps and challenges in the current taxation scheme against fairness and efficiency criteria and seeks to provide action-oriented recommendations and corrective measures and pave the way for more informed and evidence-based tax reform policies that would support Lebanon’s recovery and help put the economy back on a sustainable path.
