The assessment report of Lebanon’s public procurement system was officially approved with MAPS seal.

The Institut des Finances Basil Fuleihan is proud to have led this national consultative exercise as National Focal Point in 2019-2020, with the contribution of +100 national stakeholders from the public sector, business community and civil society.
Our appreciation goes to the Assessment team, the Global Procurement Partnership for their technical support, the World Bank for their guidance throughout implementation, the Technical Advisory Group for their review, and MAPS Secretariat for their quality assurance.

MAPS Assessment was done in the most difficult of times and with limited resources, but with determination and a clear vision.
It resulted in an informed process, a modern legal framework with Law 244/2021 and a national strategy and action plan.
It instilled a new paradigm putting public procurement at the heart of good financial governance, economic recovery and sustainable development, and the fight against corruption.
