The Institut des Finances Basil Fuleihan is taking part to a cross-country experience-sharing on strengthening public procurement systems in Lebanon, Bangladesh, and Mozambique through the Methodology for Assessment Procurement Systems (MAPS), organized by the World Bank in the framework of its GPP-MTDF program, on April 21, 2021.

Countries’ representatives are presenting key recommendations and proposed next steps to reforming their respective public procurement systems. The event is an occasion to explore how Lebanon, Bangladesh, and Mozambique are approaching the findings from the MAPS exercise, whether they have been able to find any “quick wins”, and how the results of the exercise fit into the countries’ larger economic and good governance strategies.

Lebanon completed MAPS Assessment in 2020, with the support of the World Bank and the Agence Française de Développement.
