Alessandra Viezzer is the Head of Cooperation at the EU Delegation in Lebanon as of 1 September 2022. Her previous assignment was Deputy Head of Unit (Western Balkans Policy and Regional Strategy) at the Directorate General for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations of the European Commission in Brussels. 

Ms. Viezzer has been working with the European Commission since 1997, holding a number of positions involving management of cooperation assistance working with both EU Member States and third countries. 

She holds a master’s degree in European Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium and studied political science and international relations at the University of Padua.
