Yasser Hilal is an economic writer, researcher, and media professional with extensive experience in economic journalism and the energy sector. He is the publisher of Taqat Al-Sharq (Energy of the East) magazine and website. Over the course of his career, he has worked as an economic researcher with several joint Arab institutions, including the Arab Investment and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation and the Arab Planning Institute.

He has held senior editorial positions in prominent Arab media outlets, serving as Managing Editor of Al Wahda newspaper in Abu Dhabi and of Al Iktissad Wal Aamal (Economy and Business) magazine. He has also contributed to Al Khaleej newspaper in Sharjah and Zaman magazine in Kuwait.

Yasser Hilal is a regular contributor to a range of Arab newspapers and magazines, writing on economic and development issues, with a particular focus on regional economic trends and policy challenges. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the Lebanese University in Beirut.
