This briefing note highlights the efforts led by the Institut des Finances Basil Fuleihan to advance fiscal transparency and citizen engagement in Lebanon since 2018. It presents key initiatives aimed at improving public access to budget information and outlines the main structural and policy challenges affecting fiscal transparency and proposes actions and projects aiming at strengthening accountability, informed public participation, and evidence-based policymaking in Lebanon.
