The project aims to conduct an expenditure analysis of the Government’s spending on Social Protection from domestic resources, highlighting major shifts in the financing of social protection programs between 2017 and 2024. 

Its findings are intended to inform fiscal and social policy reforms, support the State’s response to the ongoing crisis, and guide decisions related to financing and implementing the National Social Protection Strategy.

The report is complemented by an evidence-based advocacy and communication strategy that brings together government ministries, parliament, civil society, and development partners through targeted dialogues and awareness campaigns, with the goal of translating the findings into practical policy discussions and meaningful public engagement.

In addition, the project includes the development and online launch of a digital platform- The Social Protection Spending Tracker -  that visualizes the data and figures and updates them regularly, enabling continuous tracking of changes and progress over time.
